“The Artist” won 9 Phoenix Film Critics Society Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Original Screenplay. Elizabeth Olsen took the Best Actress award for her performance in the independent film “Martha Marcy May Marlene,” a clear underdog in a category that included veterans Meryl Streep and Glenn Close. The Phoenix Film Critics Society membership is comprised of print and broadcast film critics in Arizona.
