Pawn Stars: Season One (available NOW on DVD!)
In this top-rated History Channel series we venture inside the world of only family-owned Las Vegas pawnshop where three generations of Harrison men use their skills to find the real treasure and bust the fakes – always hoping to make a profit. Long before banks, ATMS and check-cashing services, there were pawnshops. Pawning was the leading form of consumer credit in the United States until the 1950s, and pawn shops are still helping everyday people make ends meet. At the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop on the outskirts of Las Vegas, three generations of Harrison’s jointly run the family business, and there's clashing and camaraderie every step of the way. Using their sharp eyes and finely-honed skills to assess the value of items from the commonplace to the truly historic -- including a 16th-century samurai sword, a Super Bowl ring, a Picasso painting and a 17th-century stay of execution -- it's up to them to determine what's real and what's fake, because everything and everyone has a story and in this business the customer isn’t always right.
Bonus features include Featurettes “Meet the Pawn Stars” and “Real or Fake”, plus addition footage!

Cowboys & Outlaws (available NOW on DVD!)
The Golden Era of the American Cowboy was a powder keg of history -- a period of conquest, war and money. In these brief but tumultuous years following the Civil War, men and women endured astonishing hardship and danger, from battles with Indians and outlaws, to nature’s own brutalities. Yet for a few extraordinary individuals, it was a time of incredible opportunity. Cowboys drove millions of steers from Texas along cattle trails to northern railroad heads. Their daring but solitary journeys established cowboys as heroes whose strength and character made them the ultimate icons of their time. But the hazardous frontier, where the law often amounted to little more than a man with a badge and a posse, also bred some of America’s most infamous outlaws, whose reputations still inspire awe. Combining dramatic reenactments of some of the era’s most revealing moments, with forensic evidence and surprising new documentary twists, this cinematic documentary series showcases the beauty of the epic American West and unveils the true tales and characters who populated the early frontier.

Welcome To Nollywood (available on DVD February 9, 2010)
Now the most popular cinema in all of West Africa -- more popular even than imports of Hollywood or Bollywood films -- the Nigerian film industry has distinguished itself by shooting all films (called video-films) on digital video. This has allowed production schedules to be compressed (films are shot in several days) and immediately brought to market (distribution consists of bringing films to Idumota electronics market in Lagos and selling them for home-viewing). The sheer volume of Nigerian video-films is staggering: one estimate has a film being produced for each day of the year. Nollywood is now the third largest film industry in the world, and yet this vibrant, profitable industry is virtually unknown outside of Africa. Welcome to Nollywood tells the stories of three directors and their latest productions, while using interviews with scholars, journalists who celebrate, in insightful and humorous ways, Nollywood as a whole, its unique character and genres, as well as its impact on the culture of West Africa and Africans at home and abroad. Be sure to check out the DVD special features, which include audio commentary with director Jamie Meltzer and more at IndiePix.
